One of my favorite places to walk and take photos, the Botetourt Center at Greenfield’s pond, is taking on its autumn colors. It hasn’t been that many year since the dam was built and the pond filled, but now it’s surrounded by mature trees, becoming a varied habitat for birds — some year-rounders and many passers-through. Photo taken Sept. 17, 2017. Nikon D500, Tamron 150-600mm, ISO 400, 1/125th sec. f 5.6, 150mm (DX 225mm).
