Little Miss Muddy Muzzle: Our cairn terriers are working terriers. They dig constantly outdoors to keep our home safe from voles and other woodland critters. Playing it safe: Our terriers went after it yesterday, so my little squirrel friend is keeping its distance today. It’ll be back up on the deck eventually, scrounging for seeds. Squirrel! We’ve given up on bird feeders for now. Bears tear them down, and squirrels raid them, too. Now we just spread seed out on a bench on the deck, and for the most part squirrels get it. Serengeti Pit Stop. There are no amenities at the eastern entrance to Serengeti National Park. The official eastern Naabi Hill Gate is another 25km to the west; this is just a flat place to stop so weary riders can stretch at the dividing frontier between the national park to the west and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the east.
